Sholem Aleichem College is seeking an experienced Special Education professional to lead our Inclusion Department. The Head of Inclusion is a key role responsible for working with students, their families and teachers across the ELC and Primary School. The primary role is to develop and implement an Inclusive Education Program for students requiring additional support and the support and extension of gifted children. This includes testing and assessment, reporting, case management, behaviour management and overview of specialised programs.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS

- Qualification in Special Education (preferably Master of Special Education or Inclusion)
- Current and full VIT registration
- Experience (5 years minimum) working with special needs and/or gifted primary school students
- Solid knowledge of NCCD and documentation
- Demonstrated experience developing and implementing specialist learning programs
- Demonstrated experience with student testing and assessment
- Case management experience
- Solid knowledge of funding and submission processes in education
