About the Division

The Business Services Division (the Division), as part of the Department of Communities, is responsible for a number of corporate services which support operational excellence through the provision of strong data, financial, information governance and systems, facilities and emergency relief outcomes through business partnering and close engagement with our customers. This position works within the Finance Directorate (the Directorate) of the Business Services Division, which is responsible for budgeting, management reporting and financial analysis, and resource planning and advice.

The Role

More specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Supports the Chief Finance Officer in establishing and maintaining the Budgeting, Reporting and Financial Analysis Framework.
- Ensures that financial and key performance indicator (KPI) data collected and reported to internal and external stakeholders is timely and accurate.
- Provides complex financial analysis for a large number of investments.
- Plays a key role in the development of strategic documents and plans for the Department including the Strategic Assets Plan, Capital Works Program, Capital Investment Program, and budget submission by providing technical and functional input.

Qualification Requirements

You must have a current membership of either CPA Australia as a Certified Practising Accountant or the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia as a Chartered Accountant.

This full time, fixed term Senior Executive Service (SES) appointment is for a period of up to 5 years and will be based at Communities' offices in Walyalup Koort, Fremantle.
