Maxwell Recruitment and Training has been a specialist supplier of skilled labour for over 15 years and currently has an opportunity for an experienced Trade Assistant to join an established electrical business based in Cardiff.

This is a hands on role working within a busy electrical workshop, supporting qualified tradespeople and assisting with the movement, preparation, repair and overhaul of electrical equipment and components.

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Assist qualified electrical tradespeople with day-to-day workshop activities
n
- Assist with the disassembly and reassembly of electrical equipment and components
n
- Operate a forklift to load, unload and move equipment and materials
n
- Clean and prepare components for repair, overhaul and testing
n
- Use a range of hand and power tools
n
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks
n
- Complete manual handling and general labouring duties
n
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised workshop
n
- Follow all site safety procedures and supervisor instructions
n

What We're Looking For

n

n
- Current Forklift Licence -essential
n
- Previous Trade Assistant, workshop, manufacturing or industrial experience
n
- MR or HR Truck Licence highly regarded
n
- Physically fit and capable of completing manual handling and labour intensive duties
n
- Confident using hand and power tools
n
- Strong safety awareness
n
- Reliable with a valuable work ethic and willingness to assist wherever required
n
- Current Driver's Licence and reliable transport
n

Note: candidates will be required to complete drug and alcohol testing prior to commencement.
