Programmed are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Welder/Boilermaker to join a well-established aviation manufacturer based in Port Melbourne, with occasional work being done in Keilor Park.

Programmed are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Welder/Boilermaker to join a well-established aviation manufacturer based in Port Melbourne, with occasional work being done in Keilor Park.

n

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Perform high-quality TIG and Oxy welding on steel components in accordance with engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
n
- Fabricate, assemble and modify structural steel components, frames, brackets and fabricated assemblies.
n
- Read and interpret technical drawings, work instructions and fabrication specifications.
n
- Measure, cut, fit and prepare materials using hand and power tools.
n
- Grind, finish and inspect completed welds to ensure compliance with quality and safety requirements.
n
- Safely operate workshop equipment and maintain tools in good working order.
n
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe work environment while adhering to all Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) procedures.
n
- Work collaboratively with production, engineering and quality teams to meet manufacturing schedules and project deadlines.
n
- Identify fabrication issues and contribute practical solutions to improve quality and efficiency.
n




- Maintain a high standard of workmanship while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
n

Essential Requirements

n

n
- Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade (Qualified Boilermaker/Welder).
n
- Demonstrated experience in TIG and Oxy welding.
n
- Ability to read, interpret and work from engineering drawings and technical specifications.
n
- Experience fabricating and assembling steel components to precise tolerances.
n
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a team setting.
n
- Proven problem-solving skills with a practical and proactive approach.
n
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
n
- Reliable, punctual and able to commit to a Monday to Friday work schedule.
n
- Ability to work independently while effectively managing workload and priorities.
n
- Physically capable of performing manual fabrication duties in a workshop environment.
n
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to Boeing's quality and WHS standards.
n
