The Opportunity

An exceptional opportunity has become available to join one of Perth's leading specialist orthopaedic practices in a newly defined senior management role.

n

This large, established and highly regarded practice brings together a substantial team of specialist clinicians and experienced administrative and clinical support staff within a premium private healthcare environment. As Practice & People Manager, you will provide visible, hands-on leadership across the people and day-to-day operations of the practice, ensuring teams are well supported, workflows are effective and consistently high standards of patient and clinician service are maintained.

Importantly, this position forms part of a newly defined management structure which separates day-to-day people and practice leadership from broader strategic, commercial and organisational responsibilities. This provides a clear management remit with the opportunity to focus on what this role does best — leading people, strengthening practice operations and creating an setting in which both staff and clinicians can perform at their best.

About the Role

n

Reporting to the Partners and working collaboratively with the broader management team, you will provide leadership across a busy and complex specialist orthopaedic environment.

n

Key responsibilities will include:

n

n
- Leading and supporting administrative, reception, nursing and practice staff
n
- Workforce planning, rostering and effective resource allocation
n
- Recruitment, onboarding, induction and staff development
n
- Managing HR and employment practices, including employment documentation, policies, performance processes, leave management, workplace conduct and liaison with external HR advisers
n
- Supporting a positive, accountable and professional workplace culture
n
- Overseeing the effective day-to-day operation of the practice
n




- Ensuring efficient reception, medical secretarial, nursing and administrative workflows
n
- Supporting clinicians with operational and practice requirements
n
- Maintaining high standards of patient service and managing operational escalations
n
- Overseeing day-to-day WHS implementation, incident management, staff training and compliance with WHS policies and procedures
n
- Supporting staff compliance with privacy, confidentiality, healthcare administration and
n
- practice policies, including appropriate access to patient information and clinical systems
n
- Reviewing and improving practice systems, processes and workflows
n
- Overseeing routine operational IT and service-provider requirements
n
- Supporting operational policy, compliance and reporting requirements
n

About You

n

You will be an experienced and confident healthcare leader who combines strong people-management capability with excellent operational judgement. You understand the complexities and nuances of specialist private practice and are comfortable leading a substantial team, managing competing priorities and working confidently with senior medical specialists and multiple stakeholders.

You will bring:

n

- Demonstrated management experience within specialist or private healthcare
n
- Strong people leadership and staff-management capability
n
- Strong practical HR and employment-practices capability, including workforce planning, performance management, employee relations and staff compliance
n




- Sound understanding of workplace health and safety, privacy, confidentiality and compliance requirements within a healthcare environment
n
- Strong understanding of specialist practice operations, clinical workflows and medical administration
n
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving capability
n
- Confidence working with senior clinicians and multiple stakeholders
n
- Sound judgement, discretion and professional maturity
n
- A collaborative leadership style, together with the confidence to make decisions and provide clear direction
n
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in business, management, healthcare administration, human resources or a related discipline highly regarded
n
- Previous orthopaedic or surgical-specialist experience highly regarded
n

The Offer

- $110,000-$120,000 + superannuation
