ICT Engineer (Test, Evaluation & Release)

We are seeking an experienced Test and Evaluation Manager to develop and execute comprehensive testing policies, plans and strategies to ensure Programs and Projects align to Defence’s test objectives.

We have three core priorities: building best-in-class people to support Defence Digital Group (DDG’s) efforts, underpinned by best-in-class global platforms, supported by best-in-class sovereign capabilities. Our goal is to provide our warfighters the appropriate technologies needed to fight and win in the digital age.

This role will be part of a larger T&E; team which collectively not only gets involved directly with Projects to facilitate T&E; but also has a role in Governance and Assurance. This is a role within a growing Branch, and you will be instrumental in helping to build both human and technical capabilities to achieve the Defence mission.

About our Team

You will be part of a team of ICT professionals working with complex projects across key Digital domains in Enterprise Systems Division within Defence Digital Group (DDG). This role will provide technical expertise, mentorship and coaching in a matrixed construct, as teams and individuals work across projects as needed.

As an EL1 ICT Engineer in DDG you may either:

- Lead a team of ICT test professionals experienced in key technology platforms/products; or
- Work individually on projects as the test and evaluation SME.

Our Ideal Candidate

You will have two or more of the following:

- Experience developing and leading a multi-skilled testing team;
- Experience exercising independent analytical skills and judgement when interpreting policies and applying practices and procedures within the Test realm;
- Experience in providing test assurance and test governance;
- Experience engaging with stakeholders to understand their expectations, requirements and concerns;
- Experience in or knowledge of the development of the Capability Life Cycle testing process, including approval and endorsement of documentation sets; and




- Experience in or knowledge of supporting programs/projects to meet their test responsibilities.
