About the Role As a Disability Support Worker, you will:
n
n
- Deliver high-quality, person-centred support in SIL and community settings
n
- Assist participants with personal care, daily living and community access activities
n
- Support individuals with complex care needs and challenging behaviours
n
- Promote independence, choice, dignity and social inclusion
n
- Provide emotional and behavioural support to participants
n
- Maintain accurate documentation and incident reporting requirements
n
- Work collaboratively with participants, families and support teams
n
n
About You
n
n
- Experience working as a Disability Support Worker in SIL and/or community settings
n
- Confident supporting participants with complex needs and behaviours of concern
n
- Reliable, adaptable and able to work across a variety of shifts
n
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
n
- Passionate about delivering person-centred support
n
n
Essential Requirements
n
n
- Certificate III in Individual Support, Disability or equivalent qualification
n
- Minimum 6 months recent disability support experience
n
- Experience with:n n
- Challenging behaviours
n
- Manual handling
n
- High personal care support
n
- Epilepsy management
n
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
n
- Current National Police Check
n
- Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
n
- Current Australian Driver's Licence
n
- Willingness to transport participants
n
- Full Australian working rights
n
n
