About the role
n
We are seeking an experienced People Experience Partner to join our Australian People & Culture team in Perth. This is a newly created position providing dedicated, on-the-ground HR support to our Western Australian operations while partnering with leaders across the broader Australian business.
n
This role offers a blend of Senior HR Advisory and HR Business Partnering, with a strong focus on employee relations, workplace investigations, performance management and leader coaching.
n
You will be the key People Experience contact in Perth, working closely with leaders and employees across a diverse workforce spanning field services, workshops, engineering, sales and corporate functions. You will also collaborate with People & Culture colleagues across Australia, Asia and our global organisation.
n
This is a hands-on role suited to an experienced HR professional who is confident managing complex people matters independently while building trusted relationships with senior stakeholders.
n
Your responsibilities
n
As People Experience Partner, you will:
n
Manage complex employee relations matters including grievances, complaints, misconduct, performance concerns and workplace investigations.
n
Lead and support workplace investigations, ensuring procedural fairness and appropriate documentation throughout the process.
n
Manage performance improvement processes and provide practical advice to managers on performance and conduct matters.
n
Facilitate mediation and conflict resolution and support leaders in resolving challenging workplace situations.
n
Coach managers and leaders to strengthen their people management capability and confidence.
n
Partner with approximately six key leaders across the Australian business through regular stakeholder meetings and proactive HR support.
n
Support workforce planning, succession planning and organisational change initiatives.
n
Provide commercially sound and pragmatic advice while balancing employee, business and legislative requirements.
n
Facilitate leadership development, soft-skills and global learning programs, including workshops covering communication, workplace behaviour, discrimination, harassment and bullying awareness.
n
Take ownership of the graduate program, supporting participant experience and the development of future talent.
n
Collaborate with specialist teams across People Experience, Remuneration & Benefits, Learning & Development, Payroll, Talent Acquisition and Strategic HR Business Partnering.
n
Build strong relationships across a complex global matrix and work effectively with stakeholders across multiple countries and time zones.
n
What you bring
n
We are looking for an experienced HR professional who can confidently step into the role and make an immediate contribution. You will ideally bring:
n
Robust generalist HR experience at Senior HR Advisor, People Partner or HR Business Partner level.
n
Demonstrated expertise managing complex employee relations and industrial workplace matters.
n
Extensive experience conducting and managing workplace investigations.
n
Strong knowledge of performance management, including end-to-end PIP processes.
n
Experience managing grievances, complaints, misconduct and sensitive employee matters.
n
Strong mediation, conflict resolution and manager coaching capability.
n
Experience supporting both blue-collar and white-collar workforces, ideally within mining, resources, engineering, manufacturing, field services or another operational environment.
n
Sound knowledge of Australian employment legislation and contemporary HR practices.
n
The confidence to provide credible, practical and commercially focused advice to senior leaders.
n
Strong facilitation and presentation skills, with experience delivering workshops or learning programs.
n
The ability to work autonomously while remaining highly collaborative within a broader regional and global HR team.
n
Excellent communication, stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
n
What will make you successful
n
You are pragmatic, approachable and confident dealing with complex or sensitive situations. You can establish credibility quickly, challenge constructively when required and provide leaders with clear, practical guidance.
n
You will be comfortable working in a fast-moving environment undergoing organisational change and capable of balancing immediate operational HR requirements with proactive, forward‐looking business partnering.
n
Most importantly, you will bring strong employee relations expertise and be comfortable taking ownership of complex matters from the outset.
n
The prospect
n
You will support an Australian workforce of approximately 550 employees across operational and corporate environments and have the opportunity to influence the continued development of our People Experience model.
n
The position is initially offered as a full-time fixed-term appointment through to the end of 2026, with the longer-term business requirement to be reviewed during the contract period.
n
Location: Perth, Western Australia
n Work arrangement: Full-time, onsite during the fixed-term appointment
