We are looking for a Commercial Lawyer (2-4 PQE) to join our growing team and develop their expertise across a broad range of corporate and commercial matters.

The Opportunity

This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career commercial lawyer to work closely with experienced Partners and senior lawyers while taking on increasing responsibility for their own matters.

You will gain exposure to a broad range of high-quality work, build strong client relationships and further develop your technical and commercial skills in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Managing commercial matters appropriate to your level of experience, with support and guidance from senior lawyers
- Advising clients on a range of commercial and corporate matters
- Drafting and negotiating a variety of commercial agreements and transaction documents
- Assisting on business sales and acquisitions, corporate restructures and other commercial transactions
- Conducting legal research and preparing advice for clients
- Building robust relationships with clients and colleagues




- Contributing to business development and networking initiatives

About You

You will have:

- 2-4 years' PQE in commercial law within an Australian private practice environment
- Experience or exposure to some of the following areas:
- Business, asset and share sales
- Commercial contracts and agreements
- Corporate structures and governance
- Shareholder and unitholder agreements
- Franchise and licensing arrangements
- Corporations Act compliance
- Advising businesses and not-for-profit organisations
- Commercial disputes and shareholder disputes
- Robust drafting, analytical and problem-solving skills
- A commercially focused and practical approach to legal advice
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
- A willingness to learn, develop and take on increasing responsibility
- Confidence using legal technology and practice management systems
