Keen to join the crew behind ARTRAGE’s events this summer?

We’re recruiting reliable, practical people to join us as Production Site and Build Crew, with opportunities across our events, as well as potential ad hoc prep work throughout the year.

We’re looking for general crew, tent builders, carpenters, forklift and telehandler operators, runners and truck drivers (MR or higher).

Working with our Production team, you’ll help build, maintain and pack down ARTRAGE event sites, including Rooftop Movies, The Pleasure Garden and satellite activation spaces throughout Perth. Depending on your role, you could be building venues, installing infrastructure, signage and décor, loading equipment, collecting supplies or moving people and materials between sites.

We welcome experienced event crew and people with backgrounds in construction, trades, transport, warehousing or other practical work. General crew applicants don’t need a trade qualification and we encourage anyone with an interest in creating events to throw their name into the hat. Tell us what you can do, which roles interest you and any relevant licences or tickets you hold.

Our crew works as a team, often moving between tasks as priorities change. The work is hands‑on and mostly outdoors, with manual handling, long periods on your feet and changing weather conditions. Explicit communication, safe working practices and looking out for your teammates are essential. A White Card is required for all crew, with relevant high risk licences required for certain roles.

Casual work will be available on an ad hoc basis throughout the year, with key work periods including:

Rooftop Movies bump‑in: 13–28 October

FRINGE WORLD bump‑in: 23 December–20 January

FRINGE WORLD live:



20 January - 14 February

FRINGE WORLD bump‑out: 15–25 February

Rooftop Movies bump‑out: 15–23 March

You don’t need to be available for every period to express your interest. Please tell us when you’re available and any dates you cannot work.

Hours are expected to be highest during bump‑in and bump‑out. A smaller production team will work during live operations, so shifts will be fewer. Work will depend on event requirements, your skills and availability; joining the casual pool does not guarantee regular hours or shifts.

There are also opportunities in Bars, Front of House and Box Office during live operations.
