Job Description

We are a growing company establishing a new Fibreglassing Division and are looking for an experienced and motivated Fibreglasser / Supervisor to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Fibreglasser who wants more than just a job. You will have the opportunity to help establish, develop and lead our current fibre glassing operation from the ground up. We are looking for someone with strong practical fibre glassing skills who can take responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the division and grow into a key leadership role within the company.

About the role

n

Working closely with management, you will help establish efficient fibre glassing processes, maintain high-quality standards and supervise the day-to-day activities of the division. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Fibreglasser who wants to help establish, develop and lead the new fibre glassing operation from the ground up.

Key responsibilities

n

- Performing fibreglass laminating, moulding, fabrication, trimming and finishing.
n
- Supervising and coordinating fibreglassing personnel as the division grows.
n
- Planning and organising daily production activities.
n
- Establishing safe and efficient work practices.
n
- Maintaining high standards of workmanship and quality control.
n
- Reading drawings, plans and specifications.
n
- Measuring, cutting and preparing fibreglass materials.
n
- Working with resins, gelcoats, catalysts and associated materials.
n
- Identifying and rectifying defects and carrying out repairs.
n




- Monitoring production schedules and ensuring deadlines are achieved.
n
- initially must be able to attend 1-2 weeks handover/training near the Gold Coast.

About you

- Has solid hands-on experience in fibre glassing / composite manufacturing.
n
- Has the confidence and ability to supervise and lead a team.
n
- Takes pride in quality workmanship and attention to detail.

- Can work independently and take ownership of the division's day-to-day activities.

- Has strong problem-solving and practical skills.
n
- Understands production requirements and deadlines.
n
- Has a strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
n
- Can communicate effectively with management and team members.

- Confined Spaces certification - required or willing to obtain.
n
- Forklift licence - highly desirable.
