Our client is an established organisation seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join its Melbourne team on a 12-month contract.

The Role

n

Working closely with the wider payroll and finance teams, you'll support the accurate and timely delivery of payroll for approximately 850 employees.

n

Your responsibilities will include:

n

- Process fortnightly payroll and support a small monthly payroll.
n
- Prepare payroll inputs and review reports to ensure accuracy.
n
- Assist with employee onboarding, terminations, leave and payroll adjustments.
n
- Investigate payroll discrepancies and respond to employee enquiries.
n
- Complete payroll reconciliations and support statutory reporting.
n
- Liaise with an external payroll provider to resolve processing issues.
n
- Work closely with Finance and HR to maintain accurate payroll records.
n




- Support improvements to payroll processes and documentation where required.
n

About You

n

We're looking for someone who enjoys the operational side of payroll and takes pride in getting things right.

n

You'll bring:

n

n
- Minimum 2 years' hands-on Australian payroll experience.
n
- Positive understanding of payroll processing, superannuation, PAYG and leave entitlements.
n
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work to payroll deadlines.
n
- A collaborative approach and confidence communicating with employees and internal stakeholders.
n
- - Experience with ADP or another outsourced payroll provider.
