We are hiring qualified Floor Supervisor to join our team in Tallangatta, Victoria. We offer you a permanent job with proper industry training and supportive management. You will be a valued team member working in a fast-paced setting that focuses on safety and well-being.

Primary Purpose of Position
n
Work closely with the Production Manager to perform a range of production related tasks and training to fulfil production requirements for the business.
n

A positive attitude with good work ethics.
n
Experience within the meat processing industry. Boning, Slicing & Slaughtering
n
Maintaining high hygiene standards throughout all processes
n
The ability to work in a physical, fast-paced environment
n
Ability to work in a diverse team with varying backgrounds, knowledge, and experience
n
Reliable and disciplined
n
A professional work attitude
n
High attendance rate is required
n
High level of Knife sharpening Skills
n
Skill level associated with Certificate III or equivalent in meat processing
n
Knowledge of Food Safety and Hygiene requirements will be an added advantage
n
Australian Citizen/ Permanent Resident / Full Working Rights in Australia are essential.
n
Ability to pass Alcohol & Drug testing.
n
Q-Fever vaccinated or willing to receive the vaccination.
n
Qualifications & Experience
n
A minimum of 5 years' experience in the meat industry with strong attention to detail.
n
Demonstrated experience in training according to needs and bottlenecks
n
Tasks & Responsibilities
n
Supervising a team that strips down carcasses
n
Develop, plan and provide workplace training and refresher training
n
Extensive practical knowledge of policies and procedures
n
Perform tasks as delegated by the Production Manager.
n
Be responsible for training of staff in boning of lamb cuts to Aus meat/ customer specifications
n
To monitor daily through put of product being produced and identify
n
To be able to engage with staff on through put to increase daily production.
