Medical Receptionist - specialist orthopaedic practice

Our orthopaedic surgery practice, at Hurstville, is looking for an experienced, reliable medical receptionist to join our busy practice. This is a part time position, 28 hrs/week

The position involves all work necessary for hospital admission of our surgical patients, including dealing with surgery cost estimates, hospital admissions process and surgery billing.

Good working knowledge of AMA, Medicare, DVA & health fund rebate schemes is essential

Valuable working knowledge of the WorkCover process for patients covered under this scheme

Excellent communication skills - you will be dealing with a multiple number of private hospitals admission offices and their admission processes, and,



with multiple practitioner and allied health offices.

Essential Personal Requirements:

Previous experience as a Medical receptionist is essential

Good command of the English language, both written and spoken

Able to work as part of a team and independently as required

Ability to prioritize and multi-task

Previous experience using Shexie is an advantage.

Hours of work: 28 hrs/wk. 4 days - 7 hrs.
