About the role

We're seeking an experienced Landfill Operator to join a government client based in Coffs Harbour. This is a hands-on role supporting day-to-day landfill operations, operating mobile plant and working safely in a busy waste management environment.

This is a casual role offering full-time hours (38 per week) across a 7-day rotating roster, typically working 7:00am-5:30pm on weekdays and 7:30am-4:30pm on weekends and public holidays (and if you're a strong candidate but can't commit to weekends, we still encourage you to apply).

Duties

n

n
- Safe operation of landfill plant and machinery (site-based mobile plant)
n
- General landfill / waste station operations and support as required
n
- Maintaining a clean and safe work workplace and following site procedures
n




- Completing routine checks and reporting faults/incidents promptlyWorking to WHS requirements and supporting safe traffic / site movements
n

Skills and Experience

n

n
- Certificate III in Civil Construction or equivalent relevant experience
n
- Minimum 2 years' previous experience and relevant tickets on at least one of the following:n n
- Waste Compactor
n
- Track Loader
n
- Excavator
n
- Front-end Loader
n

n
- White Card (Construction Induction)
n
- Current NSW HR licence
n

n

Desirable

n

n
- Waste facility / landfill experience
n
- Strong safety focus and confidence working outdoors in a team environment
n
