Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary is currently seeking an experiencedWildlife Veterinarian to join our team!
This hands-on role offers a unique opportunity to provide high-quality veterinary care to a diverse range of Australian wildlife, including koalas, kangaroos, wombats, reptiles and birds, as well as a small number of domestic livestock species.
As a Veterinarian, you’ll conduct routine health checks, diagnostics, treatments and surgeries, provide emergency care to injured or unwell animals, and contribute to preventative health, biosecurity and animal welfare initiatives. You’ll also work closely with our senior veterinarian, wildlife keepers, veterinary nurses and management to maintain exceptional standards of animal care.
This role suits a compassionate,
motivated and experienced veterinarian who is confident working independently and as part of a collaborative team. A degree in Veterinary Science and registration (or eligibility) with the Veterinary Surgeons Board of Queensland are essential. A minimum of two years’ veterinary experience is required, with Australian wildlife and/or mixed practice experience preferred.
This position is available on a full time or part-time basis, ideally four days per week, with availability on weekends and public holidays essential.
