Position Profile: We are looking to appoint a suitably experienced and enthusiastic person to the role of Staff Development Nurse (SDN) in the Ambulatory Care Service at Perth Children’s Hospital. In collaboration with the Clinical Nurse Manager, the Staff Development Nurse is responsible for the ongoing assessment of the knowledge and skills of nursing staff in the Ambulatory Care Service, the planning and implementation of specific education and training programs and the provision of support for new staff, including orientation and preceptorship. The Ambulatory Care Service encompasses a range of programs and services, including the Day Treatment Unit, Connect Care, Haemodialysis Unit, Hospital in the Home, and Remote Monitoring. This position requires a current valid drivers’ license.
