Procurement Specialist – Data & Technology

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Procurement Specialist with a strong background in ICT, Data & Technology procurement to join a well-established Queensland organisation undergoing continued transformation across its procurement function.

n

This is a permanent opportunity suited to a procurement professional who enjoys working across end-to-end sourcing activities, engaging with stakeholders and suppliers, and contributing to the development of procurement processes and operating models.

About the Role

n

Working as part of an established procurement team, you will support a range of Data & Technology procurement activities, managing both existing initiatives and new sourcing requirements.

n

The role will provide exposure across the full procurement lifecycle, with responsibility for delivering commercially sound, compliant and value-focused procurement outcomes.

n

Key responsibilities will include:

n

Managing end-to-end procurement and sourcing activities across ICT, Data and Technology categories

n

Supporting both existing procurement projects and new sourcing initiatives

n

Developing procurement strategies and supporting documentation

n





Engaging with internal stakeholders to understand requirements and develop appropriate procurement approaches

n

Working with procurement panels and established supplier arrangements

n

Contributing to the development and implementation of new procurement processes, systems and operating models

n

Providing commercial and procurement advice to stakeholders across the organisation

n

Ensuring procurement activities align with organisational policies, procedures and governance requirements

n

About You

n

We are looking for an experienced procurement professional who brings a strong understanding of ICT, Data and Technology procurement and can confidently manage procurement activities from initial requirements through to contract award.

n

You will ideally bring:

n

5+ years' experience within procurement

n

Demonstrated experience across ICT, Data and Technology procurement

n

Strong end-to-end procurement and sourcing experience

n

Experience working within a structured procurement function

n

Robust commercial and supplier management skills

n

Experience engaging with a broad range of internal stakeholders

n

Previous experience working with procurement panels would be highly regarded

n

Experience with D365 or similar procurement/business systems would be advantageous
