St Peters Lutheran College Springfield is seeking an exceptional educational leader to join our Springfield Leadership Team as Director of Learning & Innovation.

This is a unique opportunity for a visionary and strategic educator to influence teaching and learning across a thriving P–12 campus, driving excellence in curriculum, pedagogy, assessment and innovation. Working collaboratively with the Head of Springfield, Head of Primary Years, Head of Secondary Years and Curriculum Leaders, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the College's academic direction and ensuring every student is equipped to flourish in a rapidly changing world.

About the Role

As Director of Learning & Innovation, you will provide strategic and operational leadership across all aspects of teaching and learning. You will lead the College's school improvement agenda, strengthen staff capability, champion evidence-informed practice, and ensure a seamless and innovative learning journey for students from Prep to Year 12.

This influential leadership position offers the opportunity to make a lasting impact by:

- Leading the implementation of the College's curriculum vision and strategic academic priorities.
- Driving excellence in curriculum, pedagogy, assessment, reporting and feedback practices.
- Using data and research to inform whole‑school improvement and maximise student achievement.
- Strengthening continuity and engagement across the P-12 learning journey, with particular focus on middle years education.
- Overseeing exceptional learner programs, including enrichment and intervention initiatives.
- Leading key academic operations including compliance, assessment processes, reporting requirements and student pathways.
- Building a culture of professional collaboration, continuous improvement and innovation.
- Developing partnerships with families, tertiary institutions and external organisations to enhance opportunities for students.

About You





You are an experienced educational leader with a strong track record of leading curriculum innovation, school improvement and guiding high‑performing teams.

You will bring:

- Significant leadership experience within a school environment.
- Demonstrated expertise in contemporary curriculum design, teaching and learning.
- Strong knowledge of Australian Curriculum, QCAA requirements, assessment and reporting frameworks.
- Experience leading data-informed improvement initiatives and organisational change.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence, coach and inspire others.
- A collaborative leadership style and commitment to building positive professional culture.
- A genuine commitment to supporting student growth, wellbeing and academic success.
- An understanding of and commitment to the Christian ethos and values of the College.
- Current Queensland College of Teachers Registration.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Education or a related field.
- Postgraduate qualifications highly regarded.
- Accreditation as a Leader in Lutheran Schools, or willingness to complete accreditation within three years.
- Eligibility to work in Australia and ability to meet all child safety and compliance requirements.
