About the TeamThe Department has over 60 SMOs and VMOs and 22 Fellows and Registrars. We support delivery of anaesthetic care including but not limited to in Operating Theatres, Medical Imaging and Oncology undertaking more than 22000 general anaesthetics per annum.About the RoleIn this role you will deliver quality outcomes for children, young people and families (Leader of Self) in accordance with the Children's Health Queensland Leadership Excellence Framework and the Queensland Public Service and the CHQ values. Your contribution will include:Clinical PracticeUndertake the full range of tertiary/quaternary paediatric anaesthetic clinical responsibilities including on call, providing full peri-procedural patient care including preoperative assessments, acute pain management, liaison with other units and referring hospitals while balancing this with the departmental clinical requirements as determined by the surgical matrix.Maintain appropriate and accurate records and documentation which meet the standards of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists and CHQHHS, including obtaining and documenting consent and maintaining confidentiality.Actively contribute to the activities of the Department of Anaesthesia and Pain Management, the hospital and health service and the professional community.Actively participate in the delivery of contemporary, evidence-based, multidisciplinary models of care, inclusive of inpatient, outpatient, outreach and tele-health.About Children's Health Queensland Hospital and Health Service (CHQ HHS)Children's Health Queensland is a recognised leader in paediatric healthcare, teaching and research,
