We are excited to be reopening our Waste Transfer Station later this year and we are seeking an experienced and motivated Waste Transfer Station Supervisor to lead the day-to-day operations of this important community facility.

n

This is a unique opportunity to play a key leadership role from the beginning, helping establish a safe, efficient and customer-focused operation while leading a team of Waste Transfer Station Operators.

n

We are looking for a hands-on leader who enjoys working outdoors, leading people and delivering high-quality services to the community.

n

In this role you will have the following accountabilities:

n

n
- Lead and supervise the daily operations of the Waste Transfer Station.
n
- Coordinate and support a team of Waste Transfer Station Operators.
n
- Ensure safe and productive site operations, including traffic management, waste handling and recycling activities.
n
- Monitor compliance with health, safety and environmental requirements.
n
- Schedule workloads and allocate resources to meet operational requirements.
n
- Maintain accurate operational records and performance reporting.
n
- Deliver outstanding customer service to residents, contractors and site users.
n
- Foster a positive team culture focused on safety, accountability and continuous improvement.

Our preferred candidate will be able to demonstrate the following experiences and skillset:

n

n
- Experience working within a waste management, transfer station, landfill or similar operational environment.
n
- Previous experience leading or supervising a team.
n
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
n
- Experience operating plant and equipment, particularly Front-End Loaders.
n
- Sound computer literacy, including Microsoft Office applications.
n
- A commitment to workplace safety and environmental compliance.
n

The Important Stuff!

In addition to a base salary of $89,000 per annum, you'll receive weekend penalty rates for all Saturday and Sunday shifts, increasing the overall value of the remuneration package.

n

Work Schedule:

n

n
- Permanent full-time position.
n
- Fixed roster of Thursday to Monday every week.
n
- Enjoy two consecutive weekdays off each week.
n
- Weekend penalty rates apply in accordance with the applicable industrial agreement.
n
