Job Description

The Garment Tech & Production Assistant plays a key role within the product team, managing product, weekly fit

n

sessions, fit notes and spec updates, supplier communication, and sample movement to help collections move

n

smoothly from development through to production. This role works closely with the production and design teams, and

n

directly with suppliers, to ensure garments are accurately specified, tracked, and documented, that collection

n

timelines stay on track, and that the wider team always knows where product and samples are.

n

This is a hands-on, detail-driven role suited to an experienced garment technologist who is highly organised,

n

methodical, and confident managing product and supplier relationships independently. You'll own the day-to-day

n

product and sample process while maintaining structure, momentum, and clarity across the team.

n

Key Responsibilities

n

Product Management

n

n
- Manage products across the seasonal collection, from development through to production
n
- Quality control of bulk stock and faulty product
n
- Own and maintain product spec sheets, product notes, and internal product documentation
n
- Record, manage, and communicate fit notes, including comments, measurement adjustments, and approvals
n
- Track product progress against collection timelines and flag risks or delays early
n
- Organise and maintain fabric references, trims, and product files
n
- Ensure clear, accurate handovers between design and production
n

Fit Sessions & Tech Pack Management

n

• Set up and coordinate weekly fit sessions, scheduling attendees and ensuring samples, specs, and previous

n

comments are ready in advance

n

n




- Attend fit sessions and accurately record fit notes, measurements, photos, and approval decisions
n
- Update tech pack and spec sheet comments after each session so every garment reflects the latest fit and product outcomes
n
- Circulate fit notes and updated specs to the design and production teams following each session
n
- Send clear product notes to suppliers, and track fit comments through to resolution across sampling rounds
n
- Keep a clear fit history for each style, so approvals and changes are easy to trace
n
- Act as day-to-day point of contact with suppliers and factories on product, fit, and sampling
n
- Send fit comments, spec updates, and feedback clearly and on time
n
- Follow up on outstanding actions, samples, and approvals
n
- Keep a clear record of supplier communication and decisions
n

Sample & Product Tracking

n

• Manage and track all inbound and outbound samples, including:

n

n
- Ensuring inbound samples meet set timelines
n
- Tracking and communicating sample arrival dates
n
- Sending outbound samples via courier
n
- Organising photos and trackers
n
- Following up on outstanding actions
n
- Maintain accurate product tracking and file management systems
n
- Keep the wider team updated on product and sample whereabouts and progress
n

Studio Operations & Team Support

n

n




- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet timelines
n
- Help keep the studio organised, efficient, and running smoothly
n
- Provide hands-on support during peak periods and collection drops
n
- Assist the wider team with ad-hoc tasks that support product or production workflows
n
- Be adaptable, proactive, and responsive in a rapid-moving environment
n

What We're Looking For

n

n
- 2–3 years' experience in a garment tech role
n
- Strong knowledge of garment construction, fit, and product development
n
- Experience running fit sessions, taking accurate fit notes, and translating them into clear spec comments
n
- Confidence working with product documentation and digital tools (spreadsheet and spec software experience)
n
- Strong organisational skills and high attention to detail
n
- Clear, confident communication with suppliers and internal teams
n
- Proven ability to work fast paced and independently, to take ownership of product, fit and supplier follow-up from start to finish
n
- A proactive, can-do attitude and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines calmly and efficiently
n
