Traffic Group Australiais seeking an experienced and driven Operations Managerto join our Mackay team. This role is ideal for a strong leader with a solid Traffic Management background who thrives in a fast-paced operational environment and enjoys mentoring and developing teams.

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Oversee day-to-day traffic operations and workforce coordination
n
- Lead, mentor, and support Traffic Controllers and field staff
n
- Conduct inductions, onboarding, and site orientations for new hires
n
- Deliver training and coaching to Traffic Controllers
n
- Conduct Functional Capacity Evaluations (FCE) and Drug & Alcohol screening processes
n
- Ensure compliance with company procedures, WHS requirements, and traffic regulations
n
- Assist with rostering, workforce planning, and operational reporting
n
- Maintain robust communication with clients, crews, and management teams
n

About You

n

n
- Previous experience in Traffic Management operations or supervision
n
- Strong leadership and people management skills
n
- Ability to work autonomously and lead teams effectively
n
- Confident conducting training, onboarding, and compliance activities




n
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
n
- Flexible and willing to travel when required
n
- Strong understanding of safety and operational procedures
n

Requirements

n

n
- Current Traffic Control tickets/licences
n
- Driver's Licence and reliable transport
n
- Ability to pass Drug & Alcohol screening and Functional Capacity Assessment
n
- Previous supervisory experience highly regarded
n
- First Aid (not essential, but required to obtain after employment)
n
- Fire Warden (not essential, but required to obtain after employment)
n
- Drug & Alcohol Testing (not essential, but required to obtain after employment)
n
