The Engineering Technologist will play a key role in supporting the design, development, and optimisation of stone manufacturing and installation processes. This position requires a combination of technical expertise, problem-solving ability, and practical experience to ensure efficiency, quality, and compliance with Australian standards.

Task & responsibilities
- Developing, reviewing, and optimising production processes for stone fabrication and installation
- Assisting in the design and implementation of engineering solutions for custom stone projects
- Interpreting architectural drawings, specifications, and technical plans
- Conducting feasibility studies and analysing materials, costs, and production methods
- Preparing detailed technical reports, documentation, and project plans
- Monitoring production workflows to ensure quality control, safety, and efficiency standards are met
- Collaborating with stonemasons, project managers, and clients to deliver project requirements
- Identifying process improvements and implementing cutting-edge technologies or methodologies
- Ensuring compliance with Australian building codes,



WHS regulations, and environmental standards
- Providing technical support and guidance throughout project lifecycle from design to completion

Qualification & experience
- Bachelor degree or higher qualification in Engineering or a related field
- Minimum experience of 12 months full time, part time, casual or equivalent work in the same field is required
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials engineering, or construction systems
- Experience in stone, construction, or building materials industry highly regarded
- Proficiency in CAD software and engineering design tools
- Excellent analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Innovative mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
- Strong knowledge of workplace health and safety practices
