Rize Support is growing, and we're looking for an experienced Female Disability Support Worker who wants to grow with us.

This isn't a role where you'll simply turn up, complete a list of tasks and go home.

Someone who can walk into a busy day program, confidently support participants with different needs, work collaboratively with a team and remain calm and professional when behaviours or challenges arise.

Rize Support is a small, family-owned disability provider based in Helensvale, supporting teens and young adults across the Gold Coast and Brisbane.

Our Rize & Thrive Group Day Program is active, social and community-focused. Our participants take part in skill-building activities, community outings, cooking, public transport training, social activities, movement, sensory experiences and personalised goal-based supports.

No two days look exactly the same.

About the Role

You'll primarily work within our Rize & Thrive Group Day Program, supporting participants within a group environment.

Many of our participants require 1:1 support, meaning you'll need to confidently take responsibility for the participant you're supporting while still working as part of the wider team.

Your role will include:

- Supporting participants with emotional and behavioural regulation.

- Implementing Positive Behaviour Support strategies and individual support plans.

- Recognising early signs of escalation and responding proactively.

- Supporting participants with complex behaviours and higher support needs.

- Facilitating meaningful group activities and community access.

- Building daily living, communication, social and independence skills.

- Supporting personal care, meals, medication and other individual needs where required.





- Encouraging positive interactions and relationships between participants.

- Providing active support rather than simply supervising.

- Completing clear, objective and professional progress notes, incident reports and behaviour documentation.

- Communicating effectively with the Rize team and management.

- Taking initiative and noticing what participants or the program need without requiring constant direction.

Who We're Looking For

Experience matters for this position.

We're looking for someone who has worked within disability day programs, group programs or similar environments and is confident supporting participants who may experience behaviours of concern.

You might be a excellent fit if you:

- Have strong experience supporting people with disability and complex behaviours.

- Understand Positive Behaviour Support and proactive behaviour strategies.

- Are confident working in a busy day-program environment.

- Can remain calm, patient and professional during challenging situations.

- Naturally take initiative and don't wait to be told every next step.

- Understand the importance of active support and participant engagement.

- Can balance individual 1:1 responsibilities while contributing to the wider group.

- Have excellent situational awareness and prioritise participant safety.

- Communicate professionally with participants, families, colleagues and management.

- Write high-quality, objective participant documentation.

- Are reliable and consistent.

- Bring positive energy to work while still maintaining professional boundaries.

- Want to learn, develop and take on greater responsibility over time.

Essential Requirements

To be considered, you'll need:

- Demonstrated experience as a Disability Support Worker.

- Experience supporting participants with behaviours of concern and complex support needs.

- Experience working within a day program, group-based support environment or similar setting.

- Understanding of Positive Behaviour Support.

- NDIS Worker Screening Check.

- Working with Children Check.





- Current First Aid & CPR.

- Current driver's licence.

- Reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

- Availability Tuesday, Thursday & Friday.

- Ability to commit to a minimum of 23 hours per week.

Highly Desirable

- Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability or Community Services.

- Experience implementing Behaviour Support Plans.

- Experience completing ABC/behaviour documentation.

- Experience supporting non-verbal participants or people with complex communication needs.

- Auslan or alternative communication experience.

- Experience facilitating group activities and community access.

- Experience supporting young adults with disability.
