The Opportunity
We are currently partnering with a number of highly regarded law firms across Sydney that are seeking talented Construction Lawyers (2-10+ PQE) to join their growing practices. These opportunities span a range of firms, from leading national and international firms through to specialist construction boutiques and highly respected mid-tier practices. Whether your experience is primarily front-end, back-end or a combination of both, there are exciting opportunities available for lawyers looking to take the next step in their careers. Working alongside recognised construction and projects specialists, you will gain exposure to some of Australia's most significant infrastructure, energy, commercial, residential and mixed-use development projects while advising a diverse client base that includes developers, contractors, principals, consultants, government entities and major corporates.

About the Opportunities

The available roles offer exposure to a broad range of construction and projects work, including:

- Front-end construction and projects advisory work
- Drafting and negotiating construction contracts
- Major project procurement and risk allocation
- PPP, infrastructure and energy projects
- Contract administration and project delivery advice
- Construction disputes and litigation
- Security of payment claims and adjudications
- Arbitration, mediation and alternative dispute resolution
- Commercial dispute resolution and project-related litigation
- Claims involving delay, disruption, variations and defects

About You

You will ideally have:

- 2-10+ years' post-admission experience
- Experience in front-end construction, back-end construction, projects, infrastructure and/or commercial litigation
- Strong drafting, negotiation and analytical skills
- Experience advising on construction contracts, project delivery or construction disputes
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills
- A commercial and solutions-focused approach
- The ability to work autonomously while contributing to a collaborative team environment
- A genuine interest in developing your career within the construction and projects sector
