About the role

ModTech Electrical Services is a local electrical and renewables business working across the Blue Mountains and possible remote locations. We do solar and battery installs, plus commercial and domestic electrical work. This role is for an accredited electrician who will lead the field team as it grows. Running solar and battery installations start to finish, from site check to commissioning to handover. Picking up commercial and domestic electrical work in between, so no two weeks look the same.

Key responsibilities

- Running solar and battery installations start to finish, from site check to commissioning to handover

- Picking up commercial and domestic electrical work

- Leading and training apprentices, teaching them the trade and holding them to a standard

- Organising gear, stock and job prep so the team turns up ready

- Talking to customers and representing the brand, vehicles, uniform, and site presentation

- Occasional rural and remote solar work and utility scale installation

About you

- Unrestricted NSW Electrical Licence and Qualified Supervisor Certificate

- SAA accreditation, Grid-Connect Design & Install Solar & Battery Storage

- Working at Heights, Asbestos Awareness, White Card

- Full driver's licence





- Solid experience across solar, comfortable turning your hand to commercial and domestic work

- The temperament to train someone who's having a bad day, and the patience to explain an inverter to someone who's never thought about one

- Preferred but not essential: Forklift Licence and Tele-handler Gold card

- Applicants must have the right to work in Australia and pass a police check
