NumberWorks'nWords has over 40 years of experience and success in offering co-curricular educational support for students of all ability levels across our network of 70 centres. Our maths and English after-school tuition programs cater for students from Prep to Year 10. Julie and Jason own and operate the Clayfield and Mount Gravatt centres. Julie has spent her career in education; Jason brings a corporate finance background to the commercial side. We love this business and we are looking for the right person to come on the journey with us.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Teacher/Manager at NumberWorks'nWords Mount Gravatt, located in Mount Gravatt Central. As Centre Manager, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality tuition to students in maths and English based on our curriculum, building relationships with parents through reporting and communication, and for the day-to-day running of the centre.

The centre currently has around 150 enrolments and a team of 10 to 15 casual tutors, and we expect both to grow significantly. This role offers the right candidate the opportunity to combine your passion for working with young people with the added responsibility of leading team of tutors,



conducting student assessments and managing enrolments, and daily interaction with parents and the centre owners.

Skills and Experience

Teaching experience would be advantageous but not essential, as long as you have the following skills and attributes:

• A passion for teaching maths and/or English. While you may be stronger in one discipline, you feel confident with both subjects.

• Experience in Learning & Development or a similar role

• Strong communicator and listener

• Willingness to learn and grow

• Ability to work effectively in a team environment

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong organisational and time-management skills

• Sales experience is highly regarded

• Experience in a similar management or supervisory role is highly regarded

• A current Queensland Working with Children Check (Blue Card), or eligibility to obtain one

• A second language would be an advantage
