About the Role

As a Cargo Duty Manager, you’ll play a key role in leading our cargo operations, overseeing the safe, efficient and reliable movement of freight throughout the terminal.

You’ll be part of a team of three Duty Managers, working together to provide leadership and operational coverage across our growing cargo operation. Currently, the operation primarily runs overnight, so this role requires regular overnight work. As the operation evolves, the Duty Manager team will rotate across both day and overnight operations.





In this fast-paced aviation environment, you’ll lead the team on shift, coordinate day-to-day operations and ensure safety, service, productivity and on-time performance targets are achieved.

You’ll be a key operational escalation point, managing disruptions, workforce requirements and competing priorities while working closely with airline customers and other airport stakeholders.

Most importantly, this is a people leadership role. You’ll coach, develop and support your team while building a high-performing culture where safety, accountability and exceptional service are at the forefront.

Skills and Experience

- People-first leader who genuinely enjoys coaching, developing and supporting teams

- Passionate about creating a safe environment for our people and operations

- Experience supervising teams in cargo, logistics or aviation operations

- Demonstrated leadership capability in a fast paced operational environment

- Experience in warehouse or freight terminal operations

- Excellent organisation & time management skills

- Valid Australian Drivers Licence

- Ability to obtain and hold a valid Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC)

- Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Airside Driving Authority (ADA)

- Solid ability to multi-task, prioritise and meet deadlines

- Customer focus to deliver exceptional service

- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and situations
