About the role

JUST EASI Electrical is hiring an experienced, solar-accredited electrician to work mainly on our architectural new builds and act as our accredited installer on solar and battery jobs.

We deliver high-end residential and architectural electrical work across South East Queensland and Northern NSW. Our projects demand clean, precise installs: in-slab and concealed services, architectural lighting, smart home systems, and switchboards finished to a premium standard.

Most of your week will be on new builds. When solar and battery jobs come in, you’ll lead them as the accredited installer, with some maintenance work to fill gaps. You’ll report to our Operations Manager, with a clear path to running your own crew.

Key responsibilities

New builds (primary focus, about 60–70% of your time)

• Carry out underground, in-slab, rough-in and fit-off on architectural homes

• Read plans, lighting layouts and specifications, and raise issues early with the Operations Manager and builder

• Install switchboards, data, lighting control and smart home systems to a premium finish

• Lead apprentices on site and keep work on program

Solar and battery (as required, about 20–30%)

• Act as the accredited installer on grid-connected PV and battery installs, meeting SAA and Clean Energy Regulator requirements

• Install to AS/NZS 5033, AS/NZS 4777 and AS/NZS 5139, with clean, well-planned cable runs

• Complete commissioning, testing, photos and STC documentation, and hand over to the customer

• Supervise apprentices on solar sites, including safe work at heights

Maintenance (occasional, about 10%)

• Fault finding, repairs and small upgrades for existing clients





• Present professionally in clients’ homes and log any extras for approval

Across all work

• Test and certify to AS/NZS 3000 and AS/NZS 3017, and complete CoCs accurately

• Log variations in the job app before doing the work

• Submit next-day materials lists by 2pm and keep the job app updated with notes, photos and time

• Look after your van, stock and tools to our standard

About you

Essential

• Current QLD electrical worker licence (unrestricted)

• Current SAA accreditation for grid-connected PV installation (design and battery endorsements highly regarded)

• 3+ years post-trade experience, including residential current builds and service work

• Working at heights, White Card, current CPR/LVR and a manual driver’s licence

• High standard of workmanship and pride in a neat, concealed finish

• Reliable, organised, and comfortable leading apprentices

Desirable

• NSW electrical licence (or willingness to obtain one) for Northern NSW work

• Experience with architectural or luxury residential builds, in-slab conduit and smart home systems

• Experience with job management apps such as ServiceM8 or Fergus
