Staples Waterproofing Co Pty Ltd is seeking a full-time Painting Trade Worker to join our expanding team in Peakhurst, NSW. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing surfaces, applying paints and protective coatings, and delivering high-quality painting finishes on residential, commercial, and remedial construction projects across NSW. Applicants must have 1–3 years of relevant painting experience, a Certificate III in Painting and Decorating, valid Australian work rights or an appropriate work visa, and a strong commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and teamwork. This position offers a salary of $80,000–$85,000 per annum plus superannuation in a supportive and growing company.

Tasks and duties include:

Erecting scaffolding and ladders,
Be able to use power tools
Using brushes, rollers and sprays
Placing drop sheets to protect adjacent areas from paint splattering,
Preparing surfaces by removing old paint and wallpaper,
Fixing woodwork, filling holes and cracks, and smoothing and sealing surfaces,
Selecting and preparing paints to required colors by mixing portions of pigment, oil, and thinning and drying additives,
Apply final coat of paint as and where required.
Applying paints, varnishes and stains to surfaces using brushes, rollers and sprays,
Applying masking tape around the windows and glass.
Cleaning equipment and work areas

Qualification & experience

Essential

- 1-3 years of relevant experience as a Painter.





- Strong knowledge of painting techniques, surface preparation, and finishing methods.

- Ability to work from plans and specifications.

- Good attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

- Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.

- Physically fit and capable of performing manual tasks.

- Strong communication and teamwork skills.

- Current White Card (Construction Induction Card).

- Current driver's licence.

Desirable

- Certificate III in Painting and Decorating or equivalent qualification.

- Experience working on waterproofing or remedial construction projects.

- Experience with spray painting equipment.

- Elevated Work Platform (EWP) licence.

- Working at Heights certification.

- First Aid certification.
