About Ellevate

Ellevate is an independent barbershop in Elsternwick, built around quality barbering, great customer service and creating a place where both clients and barbers enjoy spending their time.

We’re an independent local business with a growing client base, and we’re ready to bring another experienced barber into the team.

We’re not simply looking for someone to fill a chair. We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their craft, enjoys working with people and wants to find a place where they can build their clientele and grow with us over the long term.

About the Role

We’re offering 2–3 days per week to start, including Saturdays, with the opportunity for more days as the shop and your bookings continue to grow.

You’ll work alongside Gian, Ellevate’s founder and Senior Barber, who has 19 years of industry experience and a background as a barbering educator.

We regularly make time for workshops, sharing techniques and learning from each other. There’s always room to develop, but we need someone who already has the experience and confidence to manage their own chair independently.

Who We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone with at least 4 years of professional barbering experience who brings:

- Confidence and consistency in their craft

- Strong scissor work, fades, classic and modern cuts,



beard work and longer styles

- Genuine care for the client experience

- Robust consultation skills and attention to detail

- Reliability, professionalism and punctuality

- A natural ability to connect with people and build regular clientele

- A team mindset and open communication

- A willingness to keep learning, sharing and refining their skills

- The legal right to work in Australia

Pay & Benefits

- $32–$40 per hour + super, depending on experience, technical ability and overall fit

- Commission on retail product sales

- Opportunity to earn performance-based bonuses

- 2–3 days per week to start, including Saturdays

- Genuine opportunity to increase days as your client base grows
