We are looking for two experienced, mid-level Chefs to join our team at Coppabella Village, located in the heart of Queensland’s Bowen Basin.

About the roles

We are seeking two capable mid-level Chefs who are comfortable working in a busy village kitchen and producing good-quality, consistent meals.





You will work as part of our catering team preparing meals for Village residents and guests, with a strong focus on quality, presentation, food safety and creating meals people look forward to.

Duties will include:

- Prepare and present quality meals to menu standards.

- Food preparation and stock rotation

- Maintaining excellent kitchen hygiene and food-safety standards

- Assisting with menu ideas and continuous improvement

- Working collaboratively with the wider Village team

- Helping us continue to improve the overall food and dining experience at Coppabella Village

- Manage an allocated kitchen section.

- Maintain quality, presentation and portion control.

- Follow food safety, HACCP and hygiene requirements.

- Complete required food safety records and checks.

- Maintain a clean, safe and organised kitchen.

- Follow WHS procedures and report hazards.

- Manage food storage, labelling and stock rotation.

- Minimise waste and support food-cost control.

- Receive and correctly store deliveries.

- Work collaboratively with the Head Chef and kitchen team.

- Support and guide junior kitchen staff.

- Communicate effectively during service.

- Maintain kitchen equipment and cleaning standards.

- Be reliable, punctual and adaptable across kitchen sections.

About you

We are looking for people who are:

- 2 yrs+ experience and confident in a commercial kitchen

- Reliable and able to work as part of a team





- Practical, positive and willing to pitch in

- Passionate about producing good, honest food

- Comfortable with regional/community living

- Looking for stability and ideally a longer-term opportunity

Relevant commercial cookery qualifications and previous experience in village, mining, hotel, pub, club, catering or high-volume kitchens would be highly regarded.
