About the role

Ross Granata Motors is seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Service Advisor to join our team in Mudgee, NSW. This is a full-time position that serves as a crucial link between our valued customers and our service department. As a Service Advisor, you will be responsible for understanding customer needs, providing expert advice on vehicle maintenance and repairs, and ensuring every interaction reflects our commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction. This role is essential to our business success, as you will directly influence customer retention and the reputation of Ross Granata Motors within the Mudgee community.

Key responsibilities

- Greeting customers and conducting thorough consultations to understand their vehicle service and repair requirements

- Providing knowledgeable recommendations on maintenance schedules, repairs and vehicle care to customers

- Preparing accurate service quotations and work orders for approval by customers

- Coordinating with the service department to ensure effective scheduling and timely completion of work

- Communicating with customers regarding service progress, completion status and any additional findings

- Maintaining detailed service records and customer information in the dealership management system

- Processing customer payments and handling administrative tasks related to service transactions

- Building and maintaining strong customer relationships to encourage repeat business and referrals

- Addressing customer concerns and complaints professionally and resolving issues to their satisfaction





- Supporting the service department in achieving targets and maintaining service department efficiency

What we're looking for

- Proven experience as a Service Advisor, Service Consultant or similar customer-facing role in the automotive industry is preferred but absolutely not essential

- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance, repair processes and automotive systems is beneficial

- Excellent customer service and communication skills with the ability to explain technical information clearly

- Proficiency in using dealership management systems and computer applications

- Demonstrated ability to build rapport with customers and handle difficult situations with professionalism

- Organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple customer requests simultaneously

- Sales-oriented mindset with a track record of identifying upselling opportunities

- Australian driving licence

- A genuine passion for the automotive industry and commitment to customer satisfaction

- Curious personality with a passion for learning about our brands and benefits to our owners
