About the role

Are you an experienced Audio Visual Technician with a passion for sound and lighting? Power Audio Visual is seeking a full-time Senior Audio Visual Technician to join our agile team in Claremont, Western Australia. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional technical support and solutions for a variety of live events, productions and installations.

Key Responsibilities

Audio

- Set up and operate digital mixing consoles (incl. A&H; SQ Series) for live sound and signal routing

- Position, patch and tune microphones, lecterns, foldback, backline and PA systems

- Run soundchecks, mix live and troubleshoot feedback or signal issues during shows

Lighting

- Program and operate MA3 and ChamSys consoles for concerts, live shows and corporate events

- Deliver lighting setups, including fixture placement, focusing, DMX patching and followspot

Vision

- Build and configure LED walls, video processors and media servers

- Install projectors, displays and video distribution across venues

Client & Project Management

- Meet with clients, venues and event organisers to scope technical requirements and site constraints

- Prepare quotes covering labour, equipment, transport and venue access

- Manage hire agreements, supplier terms and scope variations

- Coordinate schedules, warehouse prep,



pre-rigs and freight for bump-in and bump-out

Leadership & Safety

- Lead and supervise on-site crews

- Ensure WHS compliance, including JSAs, White Card and EWP requirements

What we're looking for

- 5+ years' experience as an Audio Visual Technician, with a strong background in sound and lighting

- Extensive knowledge of AV equipment, including digital and analogue sound systems, lighting rigs, projection systems and stage management technology

- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team to deliver high-quality technical solutions

- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve issues quickly

- Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with clients, producers and colleagues

- A keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of work

- Flexible and adaptable to work across a variety of live events and productions
