About the role

We are seeking an experienced Audio Visual Hire Manager to join Power Audio Visual Perth in Perth, WA. This is a full-time position based in Perth that offers the opportunity to take a strategic approach to our hire operations whilst maintaining hands-on involvement in our business. As Audio Visual Hire Manager, you will oversee the management, maintenance, and deployment of our audio visual equipment hire inventory, ensuring our clients receive world-class service and support. This role is integral to the success of our hire and production division and directly impacts client satisfaction and operational efficiency. Most importantly, you will provide exemplary customer service to our clients, building this company's superb reputation to our local clientele through harbouring continued relationships.

The applicant must be able to work weekends.

Key responsibilities

- Manage and oversee all aspects of the audio visual equipment hire operations, including booking, scheduling, and deployment of equipment to clients

- Maintain detailed inventory records and ensure all equipment is regularly serviced, tested, and maintained to the highest standards

- Coordinate with clients to understand their audio visual requirements and provide expert recommendations on suitable equipment and solutions

- Arrange equipment delivery, setup, and collection,



liaising with technicians and clients to ensure smooth execution

- Monitor equipment condition and implement preventative maintenance schedules to minimise downtime and maximise asset longevity

- Process hire quotations, manage contracts, and handle billing and invoicing for hire services

- Troubleshoot technical issues and provide remote or on-site support to clients during hire periods

- Manage relationships with clients, addressing queries and concerns professionally and promptly

- Train and support junior team members on equipment operation, safety procedures, and customer service standards

- Track key performance metrics, identify operational improvements, and report on hire division performance

- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies across all hire operations

- Work Closely with our production manager scheduling labour

What we're looking for

- Proven experience (minimum 3-5 years) working in audio visual equipment hire, event production.

- Strong technical knowledge of audio visual equipment, including projectors, speakers, mixing consoles, lighting rigs, and cabling systems

- Demonstrated experience in equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and problem-solving in a rapid-paced workplace

- Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple hire requests and schedules simultaneously

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise effectively with clients,



technicians, and internal teams

- Proficiency with hire management software or booking systems, and general computer literacy

- A customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering exceptional service and maintaining client relationships

- Are flexible with working hours (including nights and weekends)

- Valid Australian driver's licence and willingness to travel across Perth WA for equipment delivery and client visits

- Knowledge of health and safety standards relevant to audio visual equipment operation and transportation

- A relevant technical qualification (such as a Certificate III or IV in Audio Visual Technology or Event Production) is highly desirable
