Eden’s Excavations & Piling is looking for a switched-on, organised, flexible and proactive Operations Support Officer to join our team at our Epping office.

We’re a growing business working across excavation, piling and basement construction, and we’re looking for someone who wants more than a standard office administration role.

This is a varied position where you’ll be right in the middle of our day-to-day operations — coordinating people, plant, machinery, transport, materials, paperwork and site requirements to keep our projects running smoothly.

You’ll spend time in the office coordinating operations, but you’ll also have opportunities to get onsite, see our projects firsthand and work directly with our crews and site teams.

You’ll also work closely with the directors of Eden’s Excavations & Piling, giving you direct exposure to the planning, decision-making and coordination involved in running construction projects and a growing business.

The nature of construction and our operations means that flexibility and communication are an important part of this position. The successful applicant will be expected to be contactable by the directors on most days, with the understanding that there will be occasional calls, texts or emails outside standard working hours when operational matters require attention.

Being reliable, responsive and easy to communicate with is essential to this role.

What You'll Be Doing

You’ll become an important link between our directors, office team, clients, operators, site teams, transport providers and suppliers.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Scheduling people and plant across excavation, piling and basement construction projects

- Taking and coordinating new job bookings

- Answering and managing calls from clients, operators and internal staff





- Responding to emails and operational requests in a timely manner

- Working closely with the directors to coordinate day-to-day operations

- Coordinating machinery and plant requirements for upcoming jobs

- Organising and scheduling transport of machinery and plant to and from jobsites

- Organising logistics and materials required by our onsite teams

- Preparing and managing job-specific inductions and any other required compliance documentation

- Providing SWMS and other required documentation to clients and onsite personnel

- Visiting jobsites to understand project requirements, assist with coordination and develop your knowledge of our operations

- Helping identify and resolve logistical issues before they impact the job

About You

We're looking for someone who is:

- Highly organised, reliable and flexible

- A confident communicator who isn't afraid to pick up the phone

- Comfortable dealing with clients, staff, operators, contractors and suppliers

- Able to manage multiple tasks

- Responsive to calls, emails and operational requirements

- Comfortable with occasional communication outside standard working hours

- Detail-oriented, particularly when it comes to paperwork and compliance

- Confident using computers, email and administrative systems

- Happy to get out of the office and onto jobsites

- Keen to learn about construction, operations, OHS and safety

- Someone who takes pride in getting things organised and making sure the job is ready to go

- Eager to learn directly from experienced industry professionals and take on new challenges

Industry Experience Is a Bonus

However,



direct industry experience isn't everything. We're also interested in people with solid organisational and communication skills who have the right attitude, work ethic, initiative and willingness to learn.
