We make retractable screens to order at our Carrum Downs factory. Each one is built for a specific opening, so the cut list changes with every job. We need a saw operator who works to the millimetre, checks before the blade comes down, and sends parts to assembly that go together first time.

If you have run an aluminium saw before, you will be up to speed quickly. If you have not, but you measure carefully and work safely, we will train you.

We're an industry leader in retrofit retractable screens, with over 70 years of combined experience customising and installing doors and screens across greater Melbourne and Victoria. Our products are Australian-made and defined by style, quality and intelligent innovation.

Our factory is in Carrum Downs. We've grown every year for the past ten, we have more work in the pipeline than we've ever had, and we're now bringing more screen manufacturing in-house - which is exactly why this role exists.

? What you'll do

- Read job sheets and cut aluminium extrusion to length, from 6.5 m stock lengths down to finished parts

- Set up and run our production saws, and keep them cutting clean

- Check every cut before it moves on: length, square, clean edge, no burrs

- Deburr, drill and prep parts where the job needs it

- Handle powder-coated profiles without marking the finish

- Sort, label and stage cut parts by job, so assembly can pick them up and go

- Keep the saw area, offcuts and stock racks in order, and tell us early when stock is running low

- Unload extrusion deliveries and rack the stock

- When the saws are quiet,



help across the floor with assembly, packing and the mesh line

? What You’ll Bring

- Accurate measuring, and the habit of checking before you cut

- Machine safety every time: guards stay on, and hearing protection goes in whenever the saws are running

- Attention to detail, and the honesty to flag a bad cut rather than hide it

- Able to read measurements and instructions off a job sheet

- Up for a physical day: standing, and handling long lengths of extrusion

- Reliable transport to Carrum Downs. We are in an industrial estate, so it is easier with a car

? Nice to have Skills & Experience

- Time on production saws: aluminium cut-off, mitre, double-head or upcut saws, or panel saws in joinery

- Cutting to job sheets in windows and doors, security doors and flyscreens, blinds and awnings, shower screens, balustrades, shopfitting or cabinet making

- Drill press experience

- Forklift licence

- Work somewhere custom or make-to-order, where no two jobs are the same
