Neurodiverse Specialist (NDS) is a Brisbane-based multidisciplinary team of passionate clinicians who believe assessment and therapy should be practical, meaningful and person centered — not just the diagnosis.

We work alongside children, adolescents, adults, families and support networks to help people achieve goals that genuinely matter to them.

That could mean helping a child learn to tie their shoelaces, supporting someone to develop independent living skills, helping a participant regulate their sensory environment, self-regulation, assisting someone to return to work, or simply building the confidence to participate more fully in everyday life.

We’re looking for an enthusiastic, creative and genuinely participant-focused Occupational Therapist to join our growing team.

No two days are the same — and that's exactly how we like it.

Your morning might involve:

- Supporting a child in their school environment

- Completing a Functional Capacity Assessment

- Helping a participant develop daily living skills

- Assessing and recommending assistive technology

- Working alongside families, carers and support coordinators

And your afternoon could include:

- Delivering community-based therapy





- Completing reports for NDIS plan reviews

- Conducting home assessments

- Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings

- Working on strategies to improve independence and participation

- Celebrating a participant achieving a goal they've been working towards for months

The paperwork matters — but the person always comes first.

Key responsibilities

- Conducting functional capacity assessments and occupational therapy assessments

- Delivering individualised therapeutic interventions in clinic, home, school, and community settings

- Supporting participants to develop daily living skills, independence, and participation in meaningful activities

- Providing Early Intervention supports for children and their families

- Recommending and supporting the use of assistive technology and home modifications

- Collaborating with families, support coordinators, educators, and multidisciplinary teams

- Preparing clear, timely reports to inform NDIS plan reviews and funding decisions

- Contributing to clinical governance, supervision, and continuous quality improvement

Most importantly, you genuinely care about the people you work with.

About you

- AHPRA-registered Occupational Therapist

- Current registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia

- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check

- National Police Check

- Working with Children Check (Blue Card) – Queensland

- Current driver's licence and ownership of a reliable vehicle suitable for community-based work

- Experience working within the NDIS framework (highly regarded)
