About the role

We're looking for an experienced Xero bookkeeper to join our team. You can work from our office at 30-32 Clarke Street, Parkes, or remotely. We're happy either way for the right person.

Key responsibilities

- Keeping the practice's client Xero files up to date and in order

- Preparing BAS and IAS and keeping track of compliance dates, making sure every deadline is met

- Following up with clients directly by phone or email for information and answers to queries

- Working with the accountants to have client files ready for year-end

- Helping with admin and office tasks when needed

About you

- Solid hands-on experience with Xero (Xero certification an advantage)

- Confident with bank reconciliations and the day-to-day management of Xero files

- Good accounting knowledge, so you can correctly identify income and expense streams and GST treatment

- Attention to detail across a range of client apps and industries

- Comfortable speaking with clients and following up until the job is done

- Experience in a public practice,



or with rural and trade clients, is highly regarded

- Remote applicants will need to be based in Australia, with a reliable internet connection and a suitable home office

Our job is to give our clients the right recording and reporting tools to move their businesses forward. Most of our clients are small business owners, farmers, tradespeople and individuals across the Central West, and we look after them personally.
