Remedial & Relaxation Massage Therapist

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Remedial & Relaxation Massage Therapist to join our team at Pando Society in Elwood.

This role is ideal for a therapist who is passionate about helping clients feel and function at their best, whether they are seeking treatment for muscular pain and tension, support with recovery and mobility, or simply an opportunity to relax, unwind and prioritise their wellbeing.

You will provide personalised massage treatments tailored to each client’s individual needs, incorporating remedial techniques where appropriate alongside relaxation and restorative massage. You’ll also have the opportunity to work collaboratively with Pando’s broader team of health and wellness practitioners to provide a holistic approach to client care.

Key Accountabilities

- Conduct client consultations to understand individual needs, preferences and areas of concern

- Deliver high-quality remedial and relaxation massage treatments

- Assess and treat muscular tension, soreness, restricted movement and soft tissue discomfort

- Tailor each treatment to the individual, from targeted remedial work through to relaxation and restorative massage

- Develop appropriate treatment recommendations and ongoing care plans where required

- Apply a range of massage and soft tissue techniques appropriate to the client’s needs

- Provide clients with relevant advice around stretching, mobility, recovery and general wellbeing

- Create a warm, calming and professional experience from consultation through to completion of treatment

- Maintain accurate and appropriate client records

- Build strong,



ongoing relationships with clients and contribute to client retention

- Collaborate with Pando’s multidisciplinary team and refer internally where appropriate

- Maintain high standards of professionalism, hygiene and treatment-room presentation

Key Skills

- Strong remedial and relaxation massage skills

- Excellent knowledge of anatomy, muscles and soft tissue

- Confidence tailoring treatments to different client needs and preferences

- Trigger point therapy

- Myofascial release and soft tissue techniques

- Stretching and mobility techniques

- Joint mobilisation where appropriate to qualification and scope of practice

- Cupping and/or dry needling experience desirable, but not essential

- Understanding of recovery, injury prevention and general wellness

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills

- Empathy and a genuine client-first approach

- Ability to build rapport and create a comfortable treatment environment

- Self-motivation and initiative

- Professionalism and integrity

- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team

Desired Experience & Qualifications

- Diploma of Remedial Massage or equivalent recognised qualification

- Relevant professional association membership and insurance

- Eligibility to provide private health insurance rebates is highly desirable

- Demonstrated experience providing remedial and/or relaxation massage

- Experience within a multidisciplinary health, wellness or allied health environment is advantageous

- A genuine passion for wellness and providing exceptional client care
