About the role

This is a varied, hands-on position combining delivery driving, customer service and phone duties. You will be delivering sand, gravel and landscaping materials to customers while also assisting customers over the phone and at our business.

Key responsibilities

- Delivering sand, gravel and other materials safely and efficiently

- Answering incoming phone calls and assisting customers with enquiries

- Taking customer orders and providing information about products and deliveries

- Providing friendly and professional customer service

- Assisting customers in person

- Coordinating delivery requirements and communicating with customers

- Loading and unloading materials as required

- Completing general yard and workplace duties

- Maintaining a clean and safe work environment

- Representing Doonan Sand & Gravel professionally when dealing with customers

About you

- A minimum Manual MR (Medium Rigid) Driver Licence





- Previous delivery driving experience preferred

- Customer service experience

- Confidence answering phones and speaking with customers

- Good communication and organisational skills

- A friendly, helpful and skilled manner

- A reliable and responsible attitude

- The ability to work independently and as part of a team

- A strong commitment to workplace and road safety

- Good knowledge of the local area is an advantage
