Verstand Group is inviting expressions of interest from Quantity Surveyors and cost-management professionals with at least four years of relevant experience for upcoming building and infrastructure opportunities across Australia.

We are interested in hearing from:

- Quantity Surveyors

- Senior Quantity Surveyors

- Associate and Principal-level Quantity Surveyors

- Cost Managers and Estimators

- Specialist peer reviewers and independent cost advisers

Opportunities may include permanent, fixed-term, contract and project-specific engagements. Work arrangements will vary by assignment and may include office-based, hybrid, remote and project-site delivery.

Remuneration or fees will be discussed for each prospect based on the role, experience, location and engagement type.

The work

Depending on experience and the assignment, responsibilities may include:

- Measurement and preparation of bills of quantities

- Elemental cost planning and estimating

- CostX-based measurement and cost-plan development

- Feasibility estimates, benchmarking and option analysis

- Design-stage cost management and value management

- Preparation of tender documentation and pricing schedules

- Tender assessment, clarification and recommendation

- Progress-claim and variation assessment

- Forecasting, cost reporting and change control





- Contract administration and commercial advice

- Claims, final-account and independent-review services

- Peer review and quality assurance of cost-management deliverables

- Client, designer, contractor and stakeholder coordination

Our anticipated opportunities span building refurbishment, education, government, transport, roads, airports, defence, utilities, resources and major infrastructure.

About you

We welcome applications from experienced professionals through to industry leaders.

Relevant attributes may include:

- At least four years of relevant quantity surveying, cost-management or estimating experience

- Qualifications in quantity surveying, construction management, engineering or a related discipline

- Australian project experience

- Demonstrated measurement, estimating or cost-planning capability

- Proficiency in CostX, Cubit, Buildsoft or comparable platforms

- Experience working within multidisciplinary consultant teams

- Strong analytical, written and stakeholder-management skills

- Experience in live operational environments, refurbishment or complex infrastructure

- Membership of AIQS, RICS or another relevant professional body, where applicable

- Willingness to travel or work in regional and remote locations, where relevant





Professional membership is desirable for senior appointments but is not required for every opportunity.

This campaign is primarily directed to professionals currently based in Australia. Applicants should clearly identify their work-rights status and any geographical or travel limitations.
