We’re looking for a junior to mid-level Estimator & Procurement Coordinator to join our pre-construction team. This is a predominantly office-based role with some contact with clients, trades and suppliers.

About the role

You’ll help take projects from tender documentation through to a construction-ready handover. Your work will include measuring quantities, building estimates, obtaining and comparing trade prices, and helping procure packages as projects move into delivery.

Our estimating process is increasingly systemised. We use take-off tools such as Buildxact and are introducing AI to assist with document review and repetitive work. You’ll need to be comfortable using these tools, checking their outputs and raising questions when the drawings, scope or quotes do not align.

You’ll work with our pre-construction and construction teams, with guidance and review on key pricing and procurement decisions.

Key responsibilities

- Review plans, specifications and consultant documents, and complete accurate take-offs.

- Prepare estimates, pricing schedules and tender information using our systems and templates.

- Issue requests for quotation, follow up trades and suppliers, and compare returned prices.

- Check quotes against the intended scope and flag gaps, exclusions or unclear allowances.

- Assist with value management options and client pricing discussions where appropriate.





- Prepare trade scopes and procurement information for projects moving into construction.

- Support trade letting, purchase orders and subcontract documentation under the direction of senior team members.

- Maintain organised records of quotes, assumptions, allowances and procurement status.

- Help hand over the estimate and trade information to the project delivery team.

- Contribute ideas that make our estimating and procurement process more accurate and efficient.

About you

You’re organised, curious and comfortable working through the detail. You can measure from drawings, follow up a trade quote and spot when something needs clarification. You’re willing to use new tools, while taking responsibility for checking your own work.

You’ll ideally bring:

- Experience in residential & commercial estimating, with the ability to complete your own take-offs.

- An understanding of construction methods, trade scopes and pricing.

- Experience with estimating or take-off software; Buildxact experience is an advantage.

- Confidence using spreadsheets and learning systemised workflows, including AI-assisted tools.

- Clear communication with trades, suppliers, clients and internal team members.

- Good organisation across multiple tenders and procurement deadlines.

- Experience in procurement or contract administration would be an advantage.
