About the role

A small team with a big part to play

You’ll work directly with the owner and any designated quality support. We need someone who can keep the team informed, maintain standards and take responsibility for getting the work completed safely and properly.

As the business develops, there may be scope to take on broader operational responsibilities. The immediate focus is hands-on leadership of daily production. You'll work alongside the team on preparation, processing, filling, packing and cleaning, and coordinate order packing.

Key responsibilities

- Plan daily and weekly production according to demand

- Allocate tasks, train staff and keep production on schedule

- Work alongside our small team on preparation, processing, filling, packing and cleaning

- Check ingredient and packaging availability, and flag shortages before they delay production





- Follow approved recipes and procedures to deliver consistent quality

- Keep food safety checks, batch, traceability and cleaning records accurate and up to date

- Coordinate order packing and handover to the delivery driver

- Monitor waste, downtime and output, and make practical improvements

About you

- Have experience in food manufacturing, batch production or a comparable commercial food setting

- Have led a small team, allocated work and trained others as a supervisor, leading hand or kitchen leader

- Can organise the day and resolve routine problems without needing step-by-step direction

- Take food safety, hygiene, allergen controls and traceability seriously

- Are comfortable with basic computer work, production planning and accurate records

- Communicate clearly, support your teammates and bring a practical approach

- The work involves standing, repetitive production tasks, cleaning and handling ingredients and finished products.
