We are an integrated facility services provider, delivering hospitality and support services to companies operating in remote and regional locations across Australia. We provide vital workplace support for people working in some of the most isolated and demanding environments, including remote mine sites throughout Far North Queensland.

Due to significant growth across our Far North Queensland remote operations, we are looking for a Catering Utility / Cook to join our catering team at a newly established remote mining camp.

The camp is currently catering for approximately 100 residents, with growth planned to approximately 180 residents within the next few months.

Working with a well-established mining company, the successful candidate will work a 2 weeks on / 1 week off roster. Onsite accommodation and meals are included.

The Position

- Catering Utility / Cook – 2&1 roster – Salary + super

- Assist the Chef and catering team with daily meal preparation and service

- Undertake basic food preparation and cooking duties

- Assist with breakfast, lunch and dinner service

- Maintain clean and hygienic kitchen, dining and food preparation areas

- Wash dishes, pots, pans and kitchen equipment

- Assist with dining room setup,



clearing and cleaning

- Receive, store and rotate food supplies as required

- Assist with stock control and general kitchen duties

- Work across catering and village services as required

The Person

- Previous experience in a commercial kitchen, catering, hospitality or remote workplace desirable

- Commercial cooking or food-handling experience advantageous

- Food Safety knowledge desirable

- Understanding of hygienic work practices

- Reliable, hardworking and physically fit

- Strong attention to cleanliness and presentation

- Ability to work effectively as part of a team

- Flexible and willing to undertake a variety of duties

- Previous mine site / remote camp experience desirable but not essential
