Applications Specialist

Are you an experienced Applications Specialist looking to move beyond routine support tickets and into a role where you're genuinely shaping how the business operates? This chance puts you at the intersection of technology and business process, working directly with senior stakeholders to translate operational needs into practical, technology-enabled solutions.

Our client is a well-established qualified services organisation with a strong reputation in its field. As part of the infrastructure team, you'll take ownership of the client-facing applications and portals that underpin day-to-day operations, while also driving business process automation initiatives across the organisation.

Responsibilities include:
Supporting and enhancing client-facing applications and client portals
Identifying prospects for business process automation and leading implementation end-to-end
Building and managing integrations and APIs between internal and external systems
Using Power Automate and Logic Apps to streamline workflows and connect systems
Bridging legacy and modern systems where needed




Writing and maintaining scripts to support automation and integration work
Working closely with business stakeholders, to understand requirements and translate business processes into technical solutions
Working with databases and writing SQL to support reporting, integration, and application needs
Supporting and improving GUI-based tools and interfaces used by the business

Experience needed:
Proven experience in an Applications Specialist, Integration, or similar hybrid technical role
Strong understanding of business process automation tools, particularly Power Automate and Logic Apps
Solid SQL and database experience
Experience with APIs and system integrations
Scripting ability to support automation and custom solutions
Comfortable working with emerging business stakeholders and translating business needs into technical requirements
Strong communication skills, with the confidence to work closely with senior stakeholders
