Bring your specialist mainframe expertise to a critical banking environment.

We are seeking an experienced CA Datacom/DB DBA to provide trusted technical guidance and help maintain continuity across a legacy banking estate.

This role suits a Datacom specialist who can work independently, respond quickly when issues arise and serve as a reliable contingency resource when additional expertise is needed.

What you’ll do
Provide expert administration and support for CA Datacom/DB on IBM z/OS.
Diagnose complex database issues and advise on performance tuning and resolution.
Apply your knowledge of Datacom architecture and internals to assess risks and guide technical decisions.
Support mainframe database migration activities where required.
Investigate interactions between PL/I applications and Datacom.




Step in promptly to provide hands-on support during critical incidents.

What you’ll bring
10–15 years’ experience as a CA Datacom/DB DBA.
Deep knowledge of Datacom database administration, architecture and internals.
Mainframe database migration experience.
An understanding of PL/I and its interaction with Datacom.
Solid troubleshooting and performance tuning skills.
Experience supporting legacy banking systems.
The ability to operate independently with limited support.

You’ll be a trusted expert who is comfortable providing guidance on demand and stepping in when your expertise matters most.
