SAP Test Lead - Payroll & Time Transformation

We are seeking an experienced SAP Test Lead to join a major Payroll and Time & Attendance transformation currently underway in Melbourne.

This is an initial 6-month contract, however the program will run well into 2027, offering excellent potential for extension.

The project has recently completed the design phase and is moving into build. This is a key role responsible for establishing the testing approach and providing end-to-end testing assurance across the transformation.

The Role
You will take ownership of the testing function across the program, working closely with internal teams, business stakeholders and multiple vendors. Responsibilities will include:
Develop and establish the overall test strategy, approach and planning
Provide end-to-end testing assurance across the transformation
Lead and coordinate SIT and UAT
Oversee integration testing across Payroll, Time & Attendance and surrounding systems
Establish appropriate testing governance, processes and reporting
Coordinate testing activities across internal teams and external vendors
Identify and manage testing risks, issues and dependencies
Work closely with business stakeholders to ensure appropriate test coverage and readiness
Support the program through build,



testing, deployment and transition

Skills & Experience

We are looking for someone with solid Test Lead / Test Manager experience who has worked on complex, large-scale transformation programs.

You will ideally bring:
Solid Payroll testing experience
End-to-end integration testing
SIT and UAT leadership
Test strategy and planning
Excellent stakeholder and vendor management skills
Experience working across complex system landscapes
Highly Desirable
Experience across some of the following would be highly regarded:
SAP ECP / SAP Payroll
Rostering and workforce scheduling
Time clocking
Payroll reconciliation
Superannuation
Complex workforce environments
Experience with organisations bringing payroll in-house
Experience coordinating testing across multiple vendors
