Cordwell's Group is a leading supplier of quarry materials, concrete, and landscaping products across Queensland. Our Chevallum Quarry is growing, and we're looking for experienced Plant Operators to join our team.

About the Role

n

You will operate a range of quarry plant and equipment to support daily production, including loaders, excavators, dump trucks, crushers, screens, and other mobile machinery. You'll work as part of a tight‐knit team to maintain secure, efficient, and high‐quality operations.

This role suits operators who enjoy hands‐on work, working outdoors, and being part of a professional quarry environment.

What You'll Do

n

n
Operate mobile plant including loaders, excavators, dump trucks and other quarry machinery
n
Support crushing and screening operations
n
Conduct daily pre‐start checks and report defects
n
Maintain secure exclusion zones and follow site rules
n




Assist with stockpile management and material movement
n
Work collaboratively with quarry, maintenance, and transport teams
n
Keep work areas clean, organised, and hazard‐free
n

What We're Looking For

n

n
Experience operating mobile plant in quarry, mining, civil or construction environments
n
Solid safety awareness and hazard identification skills
n
Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
n
Reliable, punctual and self‐motivated
n
White Card (QLD)
n
VOCs or tickets for loaders, excavators or dump trucks (highly regarded)
n

Desirable

n

n
Experience in crushing and screening operations
n
Mechanical aptitude
n
First Aid Certificate
n
